What BEAT SCRAMBLE does.
16 slices per bar
Each bar is cut on 16th notes, so chops always line up with your grid.
Swap
Slices trade places: the snare lands where a kick was, a fill moves to the front.
Reverse
Single slices play backwards for that reversed-hit build-up.
Roll
Slices repeat in fast rolls, the stutter you'd normally program by hand.
How to get the sound.
- Load SCRAMBLE on a drum loop, a full beat or a sample and pick BEAT SCRAMBLE.
- Twist the cube. Each new position rearranges the slices into a new pattern.
- Like one? Leave it. Want it to move? Turn on the sequencer so the pattern changes every bar.

Is it really a free beat chopper?
Yes. BEAT SCRAMBLE is one of the 8 FX modes in the free version of SCRAMBLE, with 237 presets included.
Does it work on full songs or only drums?
Both. Drum breaks give the clearest chops, but samples, songstarters and full beats all work.
Will the chops stay in time?
Yes. Slices are locked to your DAW's tempo, so everything stays on beat even when it's rearranged.
Does it work on Mac and Windows?
Yes. Mac gets VST3 and AU (Apple Silicon and Intel). Windows gets VST3 plus a standalone app. It loads in FL Studio, Ableton Live, Logic Pro and other DAWs. Not Pro Tools yet (no AAX).
