FREE · VOCAL TEXTURE MODE · VST3 / AU
Free vocal effects plugin. Vocals that sound sampled.
VOCAL TEXTURE gives a clean vocal that dark, warm, chopped-from-a-record sound. It adds width, air and grit without drowning the voice in reverb, so the words still come through.

What VOCAL TEXTURE does.
Warmth
Rounds off harsh highs so a bright mic sounds like an old record.
Width
Spreads the vocal out in stereo so it sits around the beat instead of on top of it.
Air
Lifts the breathy top end, the expensive-sounding shine.
Grit + vinyl dark
Light saturation and a darker tone for the sampled, dusty feel.
How to get the sound.
- Put SCRAMBLE on a vocal track, an acapella or a vocal sample and pick VOCAL TEXTURE.
- Twist the cube until the vocal has the colour you want. Each position is a different blend.
- Use the MIX knob to blend it in under the dry vocal, or run it 100% wet for samples.
SCRAMBLE is out now, and it's free.
All 8 FX modes, the full cube, the sequencer and 237 presets. Mac + Windows, no card needed.
Questions
Is this vocal plugin free?
Yes. VOCAL TEXTURE is in the free version of SCRAMBLE, along with 7 other FX modes, 237 presets, and VOCAL mode for mixing your own vocals (10 vocal presets with TUNE free, 100 in the Bundle).
Will it bury my vocal in reverb?
No. This mode was tuned to keep the voice upfront: it adds texture, width and air, not a long wash.
Does it work on vocal samples and acapellas?
Yes. It's great for making a modern vocal sound like it was sampled, or for flipping acapellas.
Does it work on Mac and Windows?
Yes. Mac gets VST3 and AU (Apple Silicon and Intel). Windows gets VST3 plus a standalone app. It loads in FL Studio, Ableton Live, Logic Pro and other DAWs. Not Pro Tools yet (no AAX).
When can I download it?
It's out now. Grab the free Mac + Windows download at scrambleplugin.com/download, or play the real engine in your browser first.
