Layering is how big sounds get made: a sub, a body, a top and some air. Doing it with four synth tracks is slow and muddy. MUTANT. does it in one instrument: stack any four sounds, give each its own frequency range, and play them as one. Then hit SCRAMBLE. and the cube twists the stack into something new.
