KEYSCAPE ALTERNATIVE · VST3 / AU
A Keyscape alternative for beatmakers, not piano purists.
Keyscape ($399) is the gold standard for sampled keyboards: dozens of real pianos, Rhodes, Wurlis and clavs, recorded in staggering detail. If you need a real piano, that's the one. If you need keys that already sound like a record, dusty, taped, layered and ready for a beat, MUTANT. gets there in seconds for a fraction of the price and space.

When Keyscape is the better pick
- You need a realistic acoustic piano, Rhodes or Wurlitzer that holds up solo.
- You play keys live and care about every velocity layer and pedal noise.
- You work in Pro Tools (AAX).
We'd rather you buy the right synth. If that's Keyscape, go for it.
No two stacks the same.

Built on a real Rubik's cube, MUTANT.'s FX engine has 43,252,003,274,489,856,000 positions, and each one is a different FX chain. To get through just 1% of them you'd have to make 10,000 presets a day for 118 billion years. That's over 8 times the age of the universe.

Questions
Does MUTANT. have real sampled pianos?
No. MUTANT. is a synth with keys-style sounds made from scratch, plus anything you drag in. For a real sampled piano, Keyscape is the better tool.
Is it good for lo-fi and R&B keys?
That's what it's for: keys and tape sounds, stacks and phrases built for beats. The Keys and Tape expansion packs add more.
When does MUTANT. come out?
Tuesday, December 15. Pre-order now for $39 (it goes to $69 at launch) and you get your key and download by email that day. Bundle owners pay $29.
What does it run on?
VST3 and AU on Mac, VST3 on Windows, in any DAW that loads them: FL Studio, Ableton Live, Logic Pro, Studio One, Reaper and the rest. It plays from MIDI like any synth.
